MMUST's 10 Female Journalism Students to be Mentored by the United States Embassy

Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) has been identified by the United States Embassy for a mentorship program that will involve the department of Journalism and Mass Communication. Courtesy of International Association of Women in Radio and Television (IAWRT) Kenyan Chapter, the embassy has funded ten female students from Journalism and Mass Communication department who have been enrolled into a mentorship programme for one year.

MMUST takes the lead in Peace Campaigns through Fr. Kizito’s Book Launch on ‘Peace Building In Kenya.’

Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology has effectively articulated the voice of the academia regarding peace and building bridges among the people of Kenya. Rev. Dr. Fr. Kizito L. Muchanga recently launched a book dubbed ‘Peace building in Kenya.’ Fr. Kizito who is a lecturer in the School of Arts and Social Sciences as well as the MMUST Chaplain has set a record to be emulated by other scholars through his book which stresses on inclusivity and the role of the Catholic Church in creating a culture of peace.

MMUST Stands Out In The Standard Media Group 2020 Higher Education And Career Fair.

The Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology booth was among the busiest stands which received numerous clients during the recently held Career Fair at Kenyatta International Convention Center (KICC) on 24th and 25th January, 2020. MMUST showcased a diversity of programs and boosted its corporate brand thereby triggering numerous inquiries about the courses offered, how to get to MMUST, intakes, location and talent scholarships.

MMUST Students To Benefit From The Study Of The United States Institutes (SUSI)

Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) have landed a rare opportunity courtesy the Study of the United States Institutes (SUSI). MMUST earned this prestigious honor after the United States Embassy Cultural Exchange office identified 12 female students from the 11 schools within the University to take part in this innovative program. Prof. John V. O Muoma is coordinating the program on behalf of MMUST.

The Inter- University Council for East Africa (IUCEA) has identified Dr. Peter Bukhala as a regional Expert in Sports Education. The Council which brings together universities across several countries, invited Dr. Bukhala to the first Workshop of ‘Developing Benchmarks for Sports Education Programmes’ in the East African region. The workshop was held from 13th to 17th January, 2020 in Arusha, Tanzania.

Prof. Rainer Malessa from Hochschule Brandenburg, Germany visits MMUST for Catalyst Training

Prof. Rainer Malessa from Hochschule Brandenburg, Germany arrived at the University on 20th Janaury 2020, to commence a Catalysis training workshop hosted by the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry, School of Natural Sciences (SONAS) and coordinated by the Chair of  the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry, Dr. Francis Orata.

The workshop is set to benefit both staff and students across several disciplines including Mechanical Engineering. This is an interactive and intensive workshop that will stretch up to 31st January, 2020.

Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology Exhibits Expertise In Eye Care during Baringo County Medical Camp

Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) recently had an opportunity to showcase their expertise in Eye Care Health following an invite by the Baringo County Government to participate in a medical camp. This event was organized to offer free medical services to the Tenges community in partnership with Tenges Development Forum (TDF). The other partners involved in the camp included Mediheal Group of Hospitals, Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC), Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), Baringo County Government and National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF). The main objectives of the outreach were Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), supporting the government universal health care initiative, educating the community about health covers and offering free medical services.

MMUST rolls out Its Largest Batch Of Granduands into the Job Market in a Colorful 14th Graduation Ceremony

Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) on Friday 6th December, 2019 rolled out its largest number of graduands ever during the 14th graduation ceremony. The theme of this year’s graduation was; “Re-engineering Higher Education through Competency based Training, Research and Innovation.”

MMUST Chancellor, Dr. Peter Wanyaga Muthoka on Saturday 7th of December 2019 led a university delegation to Prof. Bethwell Allan Ogot’s home in Yala, Siaya County. The delegation comprised of the Ag. Vice Chancellor Prof. Asenath Sigot , Council members Dr. Samson Muchelule and Mr. Don Riaroh , Ag. Deputy Vice Chancellor Planning, Research and Innovation Prof. Charles Mutai, renown Educationist Prof. John O.
