Prof. Ngaira Welcomes International Participants at Climate Research Workshop
On 19 July, Prof. Josephine Ngaira, Director of the Institute of Indigenous Knowledge, Cultural Studies and Climate Change attended and made welcome remarks during the international workshop on “Directions for Future Research and Applications on Clouds, Precipitation, and Extreme Weather in Africa.”
The workshop brought together researchers, scientists, policymakers and practitioners from 25 countries, including 17 African countries and eight from America and Europe, to exchange knowledge and explore future research and applications related to clouds, precipitation and extreme weather in Africa.
Prof. Ngaira’s participation reflects MMUST’s contribution to international dialogue and research on climate change, climate variability, extreme weather and community resilience. The workshop provided an important platform for experts from different regions to share experiences, strengthen research collaboration and explore innovative approaches to addressing weather and climate-related challenges across Africa.
